Last weekend I returned to St. Lawrence Market Kitchen for an all fish/seafood menu with Greek wines from Markogianni Winery, represented in Ontario by Celebrity Wines & Spirits

Several specialty items from Greece were kindly supplied by Kolonaki Fine Foods.

MENU

Appetizers:

Homemade bread, Greek extra-virgin olive oil

Broiled Scallops with Chorizo, Lemon Greek Yogurt, Chives

Smoked Mackerel, Artichokes, Onions, Lemon

Roast Octopus, truffled fava, pickled shallot, capers, Greek oregano

paired with Markogianni Retsina (Assyrtiko)

1st Course: Mixed Greens Salad, 3-citrus Dressing, Tangerine, Pomegranate, Almonds

paired with Markogianni Assyrtiko White

2nd Course: Seafood Pilaf with Calamari, Shrimp and Mussels

paired with Markogianni Rose 2019

Main Course: Roast Red Snapper Fillets, Smashed New Potato, Spinach, Lemon Cream Sauce

paired with Markogianni Mandilaria Red

Dessert: Mommy’s Icebox Cake With Caramel served with Nektar Greek coffee
