Last night I hosted a Greek Supper Club commemorating Greek Independence Day, complete with a Lent-friendly 5-course menu.

Greek wines and spirits were poured by my friends at Kolonaki Group.

Many specialty products from Greece were provided by BuyGreek.shop, including Cretan olive oil and balsamic vinegar at your table.

Gigantes Beans With Padron Peppers, Sea Salt,Feta

Tartines smeared with Taramosalata, Baby Shrimp, Dill

Lentil Salad with Smoked Mackerel

1st Course: Spring Salad with Kumquat, Mint, Pecan, Citrus Dressing

2nd Course: Seafood Pilaf from Kavala

paired with Boutari Naoussa red

Main course: Cod Plaki served with Roast Broccolini

paired with Kir Yianni Xinomavro Rose

Dessert: Phyllo Flutes With Halva/Nut Filling

paired with Samos Vin Doux

April is a busy month with the run up to Greek Easter, so there will be no Supper Club until May 8th, which will be a Mother’s Day lunch. Save the date!
