A couple of weekends ago I hosted my third annual Mother’s Day Lunch at Toronto’s St. Lawrence Market Kitchen.

Thank you to Nisos Importing, furnishing Cretan olive oil and many specialty ingredients from Greece.

Appetizers:

Crab Cakes With Louie Sauce

Juicy Greek Meatballs in Tomato Sauce with Greek Yoghurt

Halloumi Saganaki With Honey, Nuts, Lemon, Grapes

Homemade Bread

paired with Palivou Anemos Roditis/Moschofilero

1st course: Waldorf Salad With Grapes, Pecans and Maple Dressing

paired with Palivou Anemos Roditis/Moschofilero

2nd course: Shrimp Saganaki with Gnocchi and Ouzo Tomato Cream Sauce

paired with Lyrarakis Assyrtiko

Main course: Lamb Wellington au Jus, Garlic Mashed Potato, Zucchini Saute

paired with Theopetra Meteora Estate Syrah/Cabernet Sauvignon

Dessert: Diples With Cream Filling, Drizzled Honey, Toasted Nuts served with Greek coffee and San Rival Ouzo
