Once a year I hold an outdoor Greek Supper Club and a couple of weeks ago we returned to The Historic Bayview Manor for the most memorable dinner yet. I’ll be playing ABBA music all evening and I encourage you to dress up like you were in the movie/musical Mamma Mia (filmed in Greece).
This year’s dinner again featured fish and seafood, beginning with passed appetizers, two starter courses, main course and of course dessert…that’s five! Many of the specialty ingredients and olive oil were supplied byNisos Importing and Greek wines from Victory Wines & Spirits. Table water was supplied by Theoni Water Canada.
Appetizers:
Seafood Dolmades, filled with shrimp, calamari, rice and topped with olive oil lemon sauce
Mussels Saganaki with fresh tomato sauce, crumbled Feta, piquante peppers, Greek oregano
Fried Zucchini Sticks with Tzatziki
paired with Victory II Moschofilero Kalamata
1st Course: Mirmizeli Salata from Kalymnos
paired with Ampelois Folia Chardonnay Kavala
2nd Course: Grilled octopus on Santorini Fava, Capers, Cretan Oregano
paired with Troupis Fteri Moschofilero White Tripoli
Main Course: Grilled Monkfish Brochette, Beans in tomato sauce, Bulgur Pilaf, Ladolemono (oil/lemon) sauce

Wishing you all a wonderful, safe summer and rendezvous and my next Greek Supper Club, Sunday October 16th at St. Lawrence Market. Menu and seats on sale next month.
