This past Thursday, I had the pleasure of hosting a Greek Supper Club with the international recording artist, Pavlo. Born and raised here in Toronto, this dinner was a way for friends and fans to get together over dinner on the eve of his concert.
Sandra (Pavlo’s wife) handed out authographed CD’s, Pavlo signed them and posed for photos between courses. We packed the back room of Christina’s and we drank lots of fabulous Greek wine from Victory Wine and Spirits and all the dishes were prepared with Cretan olive oil from Nisos Importing. My thanks to Pavlo, Sandra and our sponsors.
I would like to thank Gregory Markou of Christina’s for opening his restaurant with warmth and philoxenia, the staff, my servers in Tania, Paula and Laura. In the kitchen I had the pleasure of working with Mary-Catherine Anderson…my sous for the night.
My thanks to Christina Kakaletris for her delicious photos and of course, all those who attended this fun and memorable dinner. The next Greek Supper Club is scheduled for Wednesday, March 25th….Greek Independence Day – seats on sale soon!
