i absolutely love the look of this shop – reminds me of some of the villages in crete, where the shop is also the cafeneion, the post office, the OTE, the DEH and the bank all combined!
Love the picture of that shop!
I want that ‘Mediterranean Hot and Spicy’ book!
This photograph brought a smile to my face. There are so many of these min-markets in villages and towns strewn across the Caribbean. They are a treasure trove aren’t they? One can find so many items that the large super and mega stores carry no longer.
Thanks for introducing us to Calombaris, it’s always interesting to learn about Greek Chefs.
Thanks for including the D! Detroiters certainly love their octopus and the Red Wings!
I love the photo, is beautiful and typical.
Thanks for those interesting links, is always good to learn about culture in another counties
Hi Peter,
I love your blog. I can’t wait to try the haloumi. It all looks fantastic! Thanks also for the extra info on travel to Greece. I’m going later this year and it will come in handy.
Cheers!
