  2. I saw it somewhere too and thought, I have to do that, maybe on Memorial Day barbecue. Thanks for reinforcing the idea!

  3. Cool! What a presentation! A big platter of that would look great in the middle of a picnic table! What a work of food art Peter!

  4. Woah! Chorizo sausage and shrimp! This is wonderful! Simple and satisfying all in one awesome little dish. Summer food par excellence. Very nice, Peter, very nice.

  5. That looks sooo good Peter. We have a Tapas bar here that serves shrimp and chorizo! I have to do this!!!

  6. You and Ms Heather are on a Spanish kick today. Anything I should know. Very inventive and appetizing. Yes. Not kosher but Im lovin it!

  7. Haha, I even lamented my lack of chorizo. We both lose points for lack of mussels and clams.

Now poor Núria is gonna get all this weird traffic from our pages! :p

  8. Hi Noelle, glad to see you here…I’ve returned the kind gesture.

Lori lynn, skewering the shrimp and sausage is a little tedious but after, a quick sear and watch these babies disappear into your guests’ mouths!

    Marjie, a sinful pairing.

Sylvie, it’s so easy that it would be a pity to not try.

Deb, make lots, they don’t last long!

Sam, I’m just getting warmed up for summer, you bring cigars – I feed you, endaxi?

Judy, now you can do your own backyard Tapas.

    Glam, no collusion whatsoever.

Heather, I gots mussels nearby too but it was shrimp’s turn in the spotlight (or chorizo)?

    Val, cool term…shrimp bibs!

    Christey…napkin?

  9. You silly- this is a great combination. I’m not shocked at all. I am envious that you’re up and grilling. Next week I’m on it. The grill will be up and ready to go for the season!

  10. Hi Peter!
hmmm…I saw a very similar picture in this months “Food & Drink”! Looks yummy and I will definitely have to give it a try this weekend!
    Have a great May 2-4!!!!!

    cheers,
    Kim :)

  11. This is too funny! I just got home from the grocery store and what do you think I have in my bag? Shrimp and chorizo, that’s what! I had no idea what I was going to do with them, but you’ve given me inspiration. I think I’ll throw some pineapple chunks in there too. Thanks!

  12. Two of my favourite combinations of flavours on the grill…the sea meets the pig!…I’ve also grilled halloumi and chorizo on the bbq and it was a winner too.

  13. Robust, zesty, mouth-watering and decadent are but a few words that came to my mind when I looked at this.

  14. I just about fell over when I saw this photo! What a gorgeous presentation, one that will surely wow your guests!! Great for a Memorial Day BBQ!

  15. A wonderful combination! The spiciness of the Chorizo goes perfectly well with the sweetness of the shrimps… Yummy!

    Cheers,

    Rosa

  16. isn’t chorizo just amazing?! shrimp is pretty awesome, too. And the combination of the two must be over the top!!

  17. YUM!!!! I bet this is so flavoursome! I recently ate chorizo with mussels and clams in a restaurant and that was great too. I love the idea of using meaty prawns though, nice work! Perfect for the BBQ!!

  18. Whoa, now. Is that a crustacean love knot I see in that first picture? Is that big ol’ shrimp all up in chorizo’s grill???

    Fabulous, Peter, just fabulous

  19. This looks simply amazing. I can’t wait to show it to my husband, who will absolutely lose his mind (after 4 years of marriage and 14 years of acquaintance, I’m only just now learning that he loves chorizo as much as I do!)

  20. Looks like a stellar combo to me. I think chorizo is like bacon–added to pretty much anything, it makes it better. Also, I really like the color on those photos–it looks very lively!

  21. Is this heaven? Is this shrimp lovers’ Christmas? Peter, sometimes I think I hate you. LOL This is just the most ingenuous and brilliant idea ever ;)

  22. I’m sorry…. but is there supposed to be something not quite right about this? It looks near perfect for me….
I suppose you could have a bowl of olives on the side… and a glass of chilled rosado. I think I still have one in the cave – be right there!

  23. OmfreakinG. You KNOW I’m going to be making this one. And soon! I want it for breakfast! :)

  24. Shrimp with chorizo sausage sounds liek a perfectly good combination to me – and the photos make it look terrific.

  25. Nice combination of sausage and shrimp. I absolutely love bbq shrimp, especially with spice.
Thi is my first time at your blog, you have really great recipes and photos.

  26. Fearless, perhpas he was hoarding all the chorizo for himself? lol

Mike, exactly…it’s even better than bacon!

Ben, don’t be hatin’, ok? lol…Mea culpa!

Katie, it was a reference to being evil, foodwise…gluttonous as charged!

LOL @ Elly…now that’s something I bet one would see on Iron Chef.

    Lulu, I’ve seen/had too many a rubbery shrimp…sigh.

Nikki, the Gran Canaria will dance to the aroma of gambas & chorizo!

Cake, I’m sure chorizo’s down Under too, give it a taste.

Parker, welcome and I hope you’ll visit often, hello Ottawa!

  27. Kiss, kiss, kiss for the link first♥

And secondly, you are also building out of your food Chico! Love the structure you gave to the bambas con chorizo!!! Never tried this one…. but I swear I’m making it as a tapa for my husband over the weekend…. He’ll love it!!!! Great dish Peter!
