I’m gonna get right to the point. The title of this entry is for a food event hosted by Equal Opportunity Kitchen.

Giz and Psychgrad, the mother & daughter duo co-host this food blog right from my the province I live in, Ontario.

The premise of the food event is to highlight a dish, recipe that has friends, relatives and bloggers raving about.

When I first read of this blog event, my mind immediately raced to my Baby Back Ribs. They have the flavour of being slowly done in the BBQ but all the work is done in the oven.

My dry rub is unique in that I use a hickory salt in the mix.

All the juicy details of my ribs can be found here.

  1. Mmm. Looking at your picture definitely has my mouth watering – those ribs are definitely something to rave about.
Love your hunkar begendi piece – I make this a lot in eggplant season. It goes really well with lamb. (Now I’m drooling about lamb – I’m definitely in the ready to be done with lent frame of mind – I’m close to cracking…and will, if I keep reading your lucious meat recipes.)

  2. Ribs are number one on my to-try list for summer. Back when I catered parties I used to make ribs for clients, but I’ve actually never made them at home!

It’s nice to have a tried and true to tuck in my pile!

  3. MMMMMMMMM. Ribs. Would you believe my mouth actually watered when I saw your photo? Seriously, Peter…they look so good. And now I’m craving ribs at 7:45am. lol

  5. Peter – thank you for your wonderful submission to Tried Tested and True. I’ve never used a dry rub on ribs before – I’m definitely going to have to open up my thinking and give this recipe a shot.
